So I went to a viewing today. I think this is one of the most barbaric customs we have. I know that most people are visual and the need to say their last goodbyes while looking at someone but this is just not for me. That person is not their in that box. I just don't understand. Maybe I am freaked out by it. If that was not enough, the funeral home that we went to also offers catering. So in one room, you have cheese, crackers, veggies, tea, and sweedish meatballs and in the other room you have a corpse. CREAPY!!!!!!!!
On the upside, I got to spend the whole day with Anita. We went to lunch with Dianna and then we went and saw the new mummy movie. It was pretty good. Saw it at the Cobb in Lakeland. It was the first time I had ever been there. I love spending time with Anita. I am so lucky to have her in my life.

OK - so finally someone agrees with me!! About 20 years ago, when David and I had our wills drawn up - I added a section to mine that said my casket would be closed due to the barbaric nature of the custom of the American viewing!! They better not line up to look at me!! love ya, K
